Position Title
Mechanical Design Engineer – Bethlehem Facility
Position Summary
Qualified candidates will identify, develop, justify, and implement detailed engineering solutions for manufacturing projects while monitoring and controlling project costs and act as the company’s representative to provide field engineering support and technical assistance to Just Born personnel and outside vendors under the direction of the Director of Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications for this Position Are
|
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering |
|
|
|
Five to seven years related experience in food manufacturing environment and machine design |
|
|
|
Ability to work effectively with interdepartmental teams throughout the organization |
|
|
|
Excellent project management skills |
|
|
|
Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
|
|
|
|
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
|
|
|
|
Experience in pneumatic systems, electro mechanical systems, robotics, high speed packaging, PLCs, process controllers and electrical systems, a plus
|
|
|
Key Responsibilities for the Position
|
Justify and implement engineering solutions from concept to completion for various projects while monitoring and controlling project costs |
|
|
|
Develop, design, and prepare drawings for components, devices, tooling, machinery and equipment |
|
|
|
Work with in-house personnel and/or identify and guide vendors to fabricate components, devices, tooling and systems to enhance machinery and equipment
|
|
|
|
|
Execute various interdisciplinary projects: new products, processes, material handling, efficiency and cost reduction, and provide engineering support for project implementation |
|
|
|
|
Strive for continuous improvement by recommending solutions to ergonomics, safety, and operational efficiency |
|
|
|
