Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) started from a simple but profoundly sweet notion. Young cancer patient Alexandra "Alex" Scott started her own Lemonade Stand, hoping to raise enough money to completely cure childhood cancer. Young Alex regrettably passed away at age eight, but the spirit of her determination lives with us. The Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, raising millions of dollars while continuing her legacy of hope.
In 2008, MIKE AND IKE® proudly offered sweet support with the launch of Lemonade Blends® candy, making a donation to ALSF with each purchase. In its fourth year, Lemonade Blends® is joined by Italian Ice™ in a series of Sweet Cause displays – with a portion of each purchase being donated directly to ALSF.
