Bloomington, MN and Bethlehem, PA, October 21, 2011 – PEEPS & Company® is pleased to announce that it is participating in Nickelodeon Universe®’s Halloween event, Blackout and the World’s Largest Indoor Trick-or-Treat!

With a planned opening for its PEEPS & Company® store at Mall of America® in December 2011, the PEEPS® Brand will be ever-present during the last two weekends in October when Nickelodeon Universe will be transformed into “Blackout,” a unique Halloween event for the entire family.  The 40,000 anticipated guests at the Nickelodeon event will be treated to PEEPS® brand chocolate covered marshmallow pumpkins courtesy of PEEPS & Company®.
 
Fun for the whole family,  “Blackout” will offer a spooky, not scary, Halloween event with a black-light atmosphere, complete with glow-in-the-dark bubble dance parties, costume contest, a live DJ, free glow-in-the dark tattoos, fun glowing food options and other free activities. Treat bags will be offered as a complimentary gift-with-purchase for the first 500 ride tickets sold on each of the 4 nights of the event.
 
PEEPS & Company® will provide candy samples for 4,000 “treats” bags that will be distributed over four nights at the Blackout event.  PEEPS & Company® will also provide samples as a gift-with-purchase of the first 1,000 ride tickets sold.

The PEEPS & Company® logo will be seen on treat bags, event programs, and on pre-promotional mall signage located throughout Nickelodeon Universe and MOA.

Planned to open in December, visitors to the new PEEPS & Company® retail store at Mall of America will enjoy a fun, energy filled retail experience appealing to all five senses.  Shoppers of all ages will be entertained by captivating music, lights, interactive displays, and videos featuring historic and present day elements of all their favorite Just Born brands.  In addition to great tasting candy, PEEPS & Company® offers an array of high-quality branded items such as apparel, accessories and gifts.
