MIKE AND IKE® Lemonade Blends™ Arrives on Store Shelves

Bethlehem, PA, March-April 7, 2008— MIKE AND IKE® Lemonade Blends™ is now arriving on store shelves! This new MIKE AND IKE® flavor is the result of Just Born’s 2007 “Mix Master” consumer contest to choose the next MIKE AND IKE® candy.  Over 140,000 online votes resulted in Lemonade Blends™ being chosen as consumers’ favorite. 

MIKE AND IKE® Lemonade Blends™ candy is a five flavor mix offering refreshing Lemonade, Raspberry Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, Lime Lemonade, and Tangerine Lemonade flavors.  The MIKE AND IKE® Lemonade Blends™ variety is available for a limited time in 2008.

The arrival of MIKE AND IKE® Lemonade Blends™ is also exciting because it signifies the company’s partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.  The MIKE AND IKE® Brand will make a minimum donation of $100,000 per year to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to assist in its fight to cure childhood cancer.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). At the age of 4, Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of volunteers across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $19 million towards fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 80 research projects nationally.
