JUST BORN OFFERS SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN TREATS

Bethlehem, PA, Halloween 2006 - Just Born, Inc., makers of MARSHMALLOW PEEPS®, MIKE AND IKE®, HOT TAMALES®, and PEANUT CHEWS® candies is scaring up a variety of treats for trick-or-treaters this Halloween.

In 2005, Halloween sales were up 46%, due in large part to HOT TAMALES®, MIKE AND IKE®, and PEANUT CHEWS® candy brands. We have refined our packaging to meet customer demand for convenient, trick-or-treat portion sizes and have continued to improve distribution."

MARSHMALLOW PEEPS®

MARSHMALLOW PEEPS® candies are always in season, and after Easter, Halloween is the brand's second most popular season. This Halloween, PEEPS® are available in a variety of colors, shapes, and flavors.

In-depth research of PEEPS® consumers shows that an increasing segment not only eats the marshmallow treats, but also enjoys decorating with them. Because of the success of the PEEPS® Halloween Decorating Kits in 2005, they are back by popular demand. The PEEPS® Decorating Kit comes with a 4-ct tray of MARSHMALLOW PEEPS® pumpkins, 1 tube of black Cake Mate® gel, and on-pack decorating ideas. The MARSHMALLOW PEEPS® Halloween Decorating Kit has an SRP of $1.99 and will be shipped in a 12-ct case or a 48-ct floor-stand display case.

Other MARSHMALLOW PEEPS® in great Halloween shapes include: Pumpkins (8ct or 24ct), Cats (4ct or 12ct), and Ghosts (9ct) with an SRP range of $0.59 to $0.99. Each item is packed in a colorful 24ct DRC or 72ct floorstand display.

PEEPS® Cocoa Cats round out the Halloween line with delicious cocoa-flavored marshmallow. The 8ct Cocoa Cats have an SRP of $0.99 and come in a colorful 24ct DRC.

Total PEEPS® brand marshmallow candy production now surpasses 1 billion a year.

HOT TAMALES® and MIKE AND IKE®

In 2005, both brands saw tremendous growth in sales compared with previous years. HOT TAMALES® brand sales were up an incredible 166% and the MIKE AND IKE® brand grew 96%.

HOT TAMALES® and MIKE AND IKE® candies are available in Halloween Snack Packs. The 12-oz Snack Pack bags are loaded with 24, .5-oz bags. The Snack Packs have an SRP of $1.99, making them an excellent value. They are shipped in 24-ct display ready cases.

In addition, MIKE AND IKE® & HOT TAMALES® brand candies are available in a 70-piece Variety Pack. This great Variety Pack is a 35-oz bag with 35, .5-oz bags of each flavor. The Variety Pack has an SRP of $5.99 and is available in a 12-ct display ready case.

CHEW-ETS® PEANUT CHEWS®

PEANUT CHEWS® candies are chewy bite sized pieces loaded with fresh roasted peanuts, covered in a rich chocolatey coating. There are two flavors of PEANUT CHEWS®- Original Dark and Milk Chocolatey.

PEANUT CHEWS® are available in convenient individually wrapped bite size pieces. Both flavors are available in 8-oz (SRP $1.99) and 14-oz (SRP $2.79) snack bags and come in 24-ct Halloween Graphics display ready cases.
