MIKE AND IKE® TANGY TWISTERT INTRODUCED IN NEW 4.5 OZ. THEATER BOX

Bethlehem, PA, NCA, 2006 - Leading candy manufacturer Just Born, Inc., is pleased to announce that its recently introduced MIKE AND IKE® TANGY TWISTERT is now available in a convenient 4.5 oz. theater box. The popular packaging features the candy pieces, the flavor callout, and a neon orange background.

Donald Houston, Brand Manager of the MIKE AND IKE® product line commented, "We are very excited about our new 4.5 oz. box. As TANGY TWISTERT is such a hot item and the theater box is a growing category, extending the line to offer this size was a very easy decision. MIKE AND IKE® TANGY TWISTERT candy features cherry, raspberry, citrus punch, pineapple, and apple with a high intensity flavor twist. Each flavor is a virtual chewing phenomenon with real fruit juice flavor squeezed into each candy piece.

Beyond the taste, TANGY TWISTERT's bold packaging compliments the other MIKE AND IKE® brand flavors. Independent IRI data shows that the MIKE AND IKE® brand sales have increased 8.3% over the past year. Tangy TwisterT offers a pumped up fruit flavor for consumers who are looking for that more intense taste.

Just Born will support MIKE AND IKE® TANGY TWISTERT by distributing over 700,000 samples at radio events this summer. These will be accompanied by promotional radio spots and on-air MIKE AND IKE® FlavUpT contests.

Along with the new convenient 2.12-oz bag, MIKE AND IKE® brand candies are available in 1.1-oz, 3-oz, 6.0 oz, 9.5 oz, 16-oz, and 5 lb packs.

MIKE AND IKE® Original Fruit Flavored Candies were introduced in 1940. It takes three to four days to create a package of MIKE AND IKE® candies. Each chewy candy has less than 7 calories and 0 grams of fat. MIKE AND IKE® brand candies are Kosher. Theories about the origin of the name include a company-wide contest, a vaudeville song titled "MIKE AND IKE," and the "IKE" Eisenhower era.
